Privacy policy

This policy explains how Crawlapps Technologies ("we") handles information when a merchant installs and uses the Fieldwise app ("the app") for Shopify.

Information we process

  • Store information: your shop domain, the access token Shopify gives the app, and your billing status.
  • Your custom data: the field configurations you create and the metafield values you edit. Values are stored in your Shopify store; the app keeps copies only where a feature needs them (version history, undo, scheduled changes).
  • Customer and order data: to let you edit fields on customers and orders, the app reads customer id, name and email, and order id and name, live from Shopify for display only. Names and emails are not stored, except where you type them into a metafield value yourself.
  • Support conversations: the in-app chat (provided by Crisp) receives your shop domain and whatever you type. No customer data is sent to it.

How we use it

Only to provide the app: showing and saving your fields, running the features you turn on, billing through Shopify and answering support requests. We do not sell or share your data, use it for advertising or profiling, or make automated decisions about your customers.

Retention and deletion

  • CSV exports are deleted after 30 days; uploaded import files are deleted when the import finishes.
  • Version history is kept for 90 days.
  • When you uninstall, all app data for your store is deleted. Your metafield values stay in your Shopify store.
  • We act on Shopify's privacy requests: customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction.
  • Encrypted backups are kept for 14 days.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Data is stored on encrypted servers, backups are additionally encrypted, and access is limited to the staff who maintain the app. Access to customer and order data is logged.

Your rights

Merchants can request a copy or deletion of their data at any time. Your customers can make requests through you or through Shopify; we respond to them as described above.
